Donald C. Logan, age 78, of Green Forest, AR departed this life July 7, 2011 in Harrison, AR. He entered this life on February 23, 1933, son of the late R.D. Logan and Grace Gibson. He was born and raised in the Rule Community and was a life long resident of Carroll County. Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. In February of 1965 he was united in marriage with Guin Holland. He owned and operated Logan Trucking and took great pride in teaching his children, wife and grandchildren all to drive a semi. He also owned and operated a farm and enjoyed every aspect of farm work. He was never more at ease or more at home than when he was bailing hay or observing his cattle. Donald had a quick wit, enjoyed spending time with his family and always gave them great advice on life lessons . He attended Towering Oaks Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alma Guin Logan of the home, a son, Russell Logan and wife Loveland of Green Forest, daughter, Patty Maupin and husband Keith of Green Forest, step-son, Vance Schwyhart and wife DeeAnn of Lowell, one brother,Denver Logan of Green Forest, grandchildren, Lance and Landon Logan, Tara Crowder, Levi Obradas, great-grandchildren, Layton and Kenlee Logan, and Abby Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.
