Donald L. Cox, 86, 7917 Highway 54, Sharpsburg, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at the War Veterans Hospital in Milledgeville, GA. Donald Leroy Cox was the son of Frederick and Lucile Cox of Delaware Ohio. Born July 26, 1928, he graduated from Richwood High School; after graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served twenty years.
He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. While stationed in Heidelberg, he met and married Else (Heidi) Adelheid Fiedelak. After his military service, Don was employed by IBM and worked for 16 years in New York City. In 1988 Don and Heidi moved to Sharpsburg Georgia.
He is survived by his wife; his daughters, Brigitte Adams, Keystone Heights, Fl., Susan Cearley, Senoia, GA.; his grandchildren, Cheryl, Arline, Bill, Mandy, John, Derek; his step-grandchildren Darcy and Travis; his siblings, David, Ruthie, Jane, Kenny.
Don was preceded in death by his siblings, Ronnie, Rosemary, Wilma, and William Cox.
