Donald Lee Harvey, Sr., 64 of 721 Jefferson St. Martinsville, VA died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Vindex, Maryland on December 15, 1946 to the late Nathaniel Harvey and Elsie Smith Harvey. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Barry Newman. Mr. Harvey was a member of Ft. Trial Christian, a past member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles post # 3537 and owner of Mason and Son Garage. Surviving are his fiancée Christine Harvey of the home; daughters, Sandra Harvey of Martinsville, VA, Melissa Singer of Rocky Mount, VA, Tina Funkhouser of Gaitherersburg, MD, Teresa Mattox of Rocky Mount, VA; step-daughter, Rebecca Harvey of Fieldale, VA; a son Donald Harvey, Jr. of Fincastle, VA; a step-son, Dale Harvey of Oceanside, CA; sisters, Diane Columb of Tampa, FL., Patty Lloyd of Lynch Station, VA, Connie Knisley of Forrest, VA and Jerrylynn Hailey of Huddleston, VA; brother Dale J. Harvey of Takoma Park, MD; and eleven grandchildren.
