Donald L. Lombard, age 74 years, of Plymouth, MA formerly of Virginia, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston. He was the loving husband of Christine “Tina” (Keating) Lombard and the son of the late Leavitt and Edith (McMahon) Lombard. He was born in Boston on June 6, 1944 and graduated from North Quincy High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University where he studied engineering. He began his career as a technician for the FAA in Burlington, MA, and then went on to further his career inWashington DC were he held many managerial positions. He retired after over 40 years of service. After retirement Don held many interests. He was a tour guide in Washington D.C., was an advocate for animal welfare and environmental causes. Don had a life long love of antique cars and owned many. He was a member of the Northern Virginia Ford V8 Car Group. Don and his wife, Tina, had a great love and devotion for domestic and feral cats. Besides his loving wife Tina, Don is survived by his children Kyle Edson and his wife Allyson of Harwich and Ellen Edson of Centerville, his grandchildren Casey, Connor and Drew Edson of Harwich, his sisters Carole Faneuf and her husband Ed of Orange, MA, Glenda Larson and her husband Dean of Hanover, Patricia Vogel and her husband John of Avon, and Gail Sardano and her husband Michael of Hanover. He also leaves his Aunt Rosalie Lombard in Florida and many nieces & nephews. Don will be missed dearly by his two beloved cats, Lilly and Lucy.
