Donald L. Craig, 85, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Jacksonville, the son of Harold and Lucille Decker Craig. He married Mary F. DeLong on June 15, 1946, in Jacksonville, and she preceded him in death on June 7, 2008.

He is survived by one son, Lynn (Ruth) Craig of Jacksonville; one grandson, Kevin Craig of Jacksonville; two step-grandsons, James Albers of Jacksonville and Sgt. First Class Eric Albers of Ft. Gordon, GA; and three step great-grandchildren.

Mr. Craig was a 1942 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, stationed in Alaska. Upon his discharge, he became an electrician, working out of I.B.E.W. Local #193 for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Jacksonville Moose Lodge.
