Donald K. Odenweller died on June 17, 2017, at his home in Flagstaff, AZ. Don was born in Caracas, Venezuela on April 27, 1949. He spent his teenage years in Downey, CA, Graduating from Warren High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from Colorado State.
Don served in the U.S Army (1971-1977), achieving the rank of Captain. After graduating with his MPA he began his career in 1978 as a Human Resources/Safety Manager with Ralston/Nestle Purina retiring in 2004. During that time he was the HR Manager at the Flagstaff Ralston/Nestle Purina plant twice (1984-1991 and 1999-2004).
He is survived by his daughter Shannon (Duane) Standaert, son Sean (Chantay) Rhone, sister Alison (Wade) Bunting, and six grandchildren: Cole and Natalie Standaert and Josey, Dodger, Casey, and Koby Rhone.
