Donald John Parker, 72, of Orefield, and formerly of Bethlehem, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Old Orchard Health Care Center in Bethlehem Twp. He was the husband of Nora E. (Green) Parker, who died June 25, 2006. He was born on March 3, 1942 in Bethlehem, to the late Joseph and Lillian (Cherkis) Parker. Donald worked as a sandblaster for the local painters union for many years. He also was a Bee Keeper, and was known as the “Bee Man” by many. He was an avid outdoorsman and dedicated his life to working hard. Survivors: daughters Lillian “Cookie” Parker of Quincy, Mass., Cynthia Smith, Anna Ford and husband David, all of Bethlehem, Michelle Kantz; son Donald Hunt; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Franklin Parker and wife Judy of Coopersburg. He was predeceased by brothers Frederick and Joseph.
