Donald “Jack” Davis, 83, of Clarksburg passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility after an extended illness. He was born May 24, 1934 in Reynoldsville, WV; son of the late Don Lewis and Ruby Edith Hawkinberry Davis.
Jack is survived by his son, Don D. Davis of Sarasota, FL; daughters, Madge T. “Suzy” Davis of Clarksburg, Jackie and Gary Blair of Bristol, TN, Heidi Davis of Norfolk, VA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 47 years, Artlene Houser Davis; brothers, Gary, Bob and Carson; sisters, Ellen, Judy and Agnes.
Jack served in the US Marine Corps during Korean War; he was a member of the American Legion Bridgeport Post 68 and UMWA. He was a retired coal miner; having worked for Bethlehem Steel. He was also a member of the Sardis Baptist Church; where he was a deacon. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
