Donald J. Stanson, 79, of Anderson, passed away on July 4, 2013 at the Rawlins House in Pendleton. He was born on February 7, 1934 in Anderson, and resided all of his life in Anderson. Donald graduated from Anderson High School. He worked for Anderson Mattress, Brockway Glass, and Nicholson File.
He was a member of Central Christian Church, and past member of Eagles FOE 174. Donald is survived by his sister in-law, Mrs. Robert Retta Stanson, Anderson; brother in-laws, Larry L. Carol Silver, Anderson; Aaron N. Amy Silver, Pennsville, NJ; niece and nephews, Mary E. Stanson of Marion; Ruth Ann Browning of Union Town, KY; Sharol Silver Simmons Thomas; Kelly Silver Hodges; Brenda Silver Tobin Scott; Aaron Silver Jr. Lori; Christina Silver Innis Norman; Bradley Silver Brooke, several great nieces and nephew; and special friend, Loyce Gardiner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Stanson, father, Jesse J. Stanson, mother, Margaret McElroy Stanson, brother, Robert Stanson, and nephew, Douglas Stanson.
