Donald J. Entwistle, 90, of Oglesby, passed away, Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Pleasant View Health Center in Ottawa.

Mr. Entwistle was born December 31, 1928 in Oglesby to James and Lucielle (Monari) Entwistle. He married Wanda Lee Fishburn on July 21, 1949 in Oglesby. He worked at Indiana General for more than 30 years and retired from the Marbon Plastics plant in 1989 where he worked for 13 years.

Mr. Entwistle enjoyed woodworking, detailing cars and following all forms of auto racing. He got his greatest enjoyment from being with his family, and giving away his woodworking projects, particularly children’s’ benches.

Mr. Entwistle spent his last years working on his hobbies at his shop in Oglesby, which was originally a Texaco gas station owned and operated by his father in the 1930s and ‘40s.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Michael) Yerly of Elgin; his son, Michael (Mary Jean) Entwistle of LaSalle; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda on September 28, 2014; a great-granddaughter; his parents and his sister.
