Newark – Donald Joseph Cook, 89 of Summit Drive died Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at the House Of John in Clifton Springs.
Mr. Cook was born the son of Walter and Mary Hyde Cook on March 15, 1912 in Batavia, New York. He retired from the Newark Post Office in 1980 where he worked as a clerk for 36 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #83 F. & A.M. of Newark, the Newark VFW Post 2883 and the Newark Country Club.
Mr. Cook is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Evelyn Doyle Cook; son and daughter-in-law Donald K. and Paula Cook of New Jersey; granddaughters Suzanne (Anthony) Paldino of New Jersey and Sandra McBride of Ohio; four great grandchildren; brother Raymond (Ruth) Cook of Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cook was predeceased by his brother Harold Cook in 2000; sister Katherine Cook Feb. 28, 2002.
