Donald “Don” W. Higdon, 72, of Bloomington passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Golden Living Center. Born, October 29, 1936 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of Andrew and Thelma (Harden) Higdon. Don was a project manager in the Physical Facilities Dept. at Indiana University for 25 years. He was a member and a Bible School Teacher of the North Central Church of Christ for 34 years.
He was a member and Past President of the Northside Exchange Club. Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed auto racing, reading, traveling, and listening to and playing music. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Bernie (Gillim) Higdon, three daughters, Regina (Craig) Hill of Carmel, Kathy (Lee) Standiford of Loveland, CO, Tracy (Rick) Huff of Noblesville, two sons, Wayne (Cindy) Higdon of Bloomington, David Higdon (Arturo Beeche) of Richmond, CA, grandchildren, Zach, Rachel, and Micah Hill, Hanna, Jacob and Lilly Huff; Ashley and Preston Standiford, and Zac Higdon-Beeche.
