Donald H. Weeks    “Don”

Branchport:  Passed away suddenly, on February 13, 2018, at the Gardens section of the MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY.  He was born in Williamson, NY on November 22, 1928 to the late Howard and Fanny “Eaton” Weeks.  In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur Weeks, Harold Weeks, Garth Weeks and Norris Weeks; sisters, Bessie Porray and Mabel Matteson; survived by his brothers, Robert Weeks, Lee Weeks and Norman Weeks; sisters-in-law, Pat Weeks, Millie Weeks and Dorothy Weeks; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Don served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.  He held many jobs during his life including being a deck hand on ships on the Great Lakes, tractor repair in Egypt, NY, and as an electrician to name a few.  Don was very capable and was always willing to lend a hand to help out someone in need.  He enjoyed gardening and sharing his harvest, he liked cats, owned and operated his own plane and was a member of the “Weeks Family” sports teams in which he and his siblings would play basketball, softball, among other sports. After his folks passed away, Don made his home in Branchport, NY.  Don will be missed but remembered fondly by those who knew him as a brother, uncle and friend.
