Donald Hollis Matteson, age 94, was born November 15, 1925 and departed on December 19, 2019 to be with his Lord and Savior. He lived a long and blessed life surrounded by a large family and many dear friends. Dad was fun, generous and loving with a great sense of humor.
He was fortunate to have two wonderful wives, Ardith and Jesse, and a dear friend Carol. Dad was in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was very proud of his service to his country. He wore a veteran’s hat wherever he went. He was actually in an Armed Guard specialized unit on a merchant marine ship gunnery crew.
We couldn’t have had a better father! Love Always, Deb, Holly and Brigitte.
