Donald Gene Oliver, also known as “Tall Boy”, of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born March 13, 1935 to Eugene Oliver and Ethel (Essman) Oliver in the area of Lake Hinkle, Arkansas. Donald was 79 years, 8 months and 10 days old. Donald was a member of the Unity Church near Waldron, Arkansas.

Donald was a rancher and a logger. He was a member of the Scott County Wolf Hunters. Donald was an avid hunter. With that being said, Donald mostly enjoyed the time each day that he would go and tend to his cows. Being a farmer is hard work but Donald never complained because he loved the peace and tranquility that came from being on the farm. Donald especially loved when his grandchildren would come and they could play outside. Donald has passed down his legacy of hard work and dedication to his grandchildren. He treasured those precious moments that he could be with each of those grands and share just a little piece of time and make everlasting memories.

Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Shirley of the home, one daughter, Donna Latimer and husband David of Morrilton, Arkansas, three sons, Michael Oliver and wife Regina of Waldron, Arkansas, Alan Oliver of Waldron, Arkansas and Philip Oliver and wife Jenna of Mountainburg, Arkansas. Poppa will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren: Aaron Oliver, Tyler Oliver and wife Ashley, D.J. Latimer and Jamie McReynolds, Ryan Gardner, Gabriel Brand and Kirbe Brand and great grandchildren: Keyton, Jacey, Jolie and Jackson. Donald is also survived by one sister, Essa Faye Hawke and husband Tommy. Donald will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him, including cousins, nieces, nephews, many friends and loved ones.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ethel Oliver, one sister, Katherine Graham and one brother, Harlon Oliver.
