Donald G. Lee, age 69 of Midland died Thursday, July 23, 2009. The son of Iva Marie ( Lou) Nendenhall- Butler and the late Allen M. Lee was born on February 26, 1940 in McAllister, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in Pinole, California.
He served with the U.S. Air force during the Vietnam era. Don married the former Beverly J. Yarger on April 15, 1963 and she predeceased him on October 31, 2003. The family moved to the Midland area in 1969 where Don worked for I.B.M. as a field representative. He then worked for the U. S. Postal Service, Freeland office, as a letter carrier retiring in 2005.
Don was a member of the Berryhill American Legion Post # 165 and enjoyed traveling and especially casino entertainment.
Don is survived by his children: Glenda (Ken) Lesh, Michael (Janet) Allen, Hal Allen, Tina (Tom) Krzysik and Laura Lee. He is also survived by his mother Iva Marie (Lou) Butler, brothers Ron (Paula) Lee, Leo (Martha) Butler, Robert Weiss and step mother Delores Lee. Don’s grandchildren are Jen (Dan) Kline, Dan (Stephanie) Allen, Randy Allen, Kelly Allen, Kala Waddington, Michael Krzysik, Brian Lesh, Renea Allen, Teresa Allen, Jason Allen, Melissa Krzysik, Brandon Bovee, Amber Bovee and Jeremy Allen. Two great grandchildren Gabby Kline and Cody Ortiz also survive.
