Donald F. Barnes, 50 years of age, of Beatrice passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his home. He was born March 30, 1968 to Francis and Nancy (Carel) Barnes. He graduated from Odell High School in 1987. Donald worked as a Maxi Press Furnace feeder at American Tool in DeWitt for 15 years. He loved country music especially Garth Brooks, coloring and professional wrestling. Donald loved his family and was especially proud of his brother being in the military.
Donald is survived by his parents; sister, Becky Barnes of Beatrice; brothers, Robert Barnes and wife Kim of Adams, Stacy Barnes and wife Kim of Lincoln; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Hailey, Ethan, Isaac, Preston and Kendra; aunts and uncles, Harry Carel, Jr and wife Linda, Willie Carel and wife Barbara, Linda (Carel) Langdale and husband Robert, Gene Barnes and Kay McCarter. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry Sr. and Gretchen Carel and Oliver and Clara Barnes.
