Donald Eugene Garner, 83, died at his home in Manassas on Friday, February 23, 2018. Mr. Garner had worked for J.E. Rice for 21 years before moving to Prince William County Schools where he retired after 20 years. Among his survivors are his wife, Mary Frances Garrison Garner, three children, Donald Lee Garner and his wife Marilyn of Manassas, Gary Eugene Garner and his girlfriend Melissa O’Brian of Dale City and Wanda Faye Chamberlain and her husband Jason of Fredericksburg; grandchildren Kristen Leigh Carrino of Fredericksburg and Mandy Lynn Hardy and her husband Jon of Ladysmith; two great grandchildren, Sarah Lyn Hardy and Jacob Clayton Hardy of Ladysmith and his granddogs, Jasmine, Cash, Bing, otherwise known as “Red” and Skeeter. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorsey Smith Garner and Gracie Mable Harris Garner and his siblings, Minor, Dennis W. and Melvin L. Garner and Arcelia Gates.
