Donald Edward Lee, age 87, Mulberry, IN, formerly of Rensselaer, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was born in Rensselaer on January 25, 1931, the son of Cecil and Mae (Rowen) Lee. He graduated from Rensselaer schools class of 1949 and proudly served in the National Guard. Don married the love of his life, Barbara Wood, on August 27, 1949. Together they had three children, Richard (Sherry) Lee of Roanoke, IN, Julie (Pete) Castillo of Marion, IN and Kenton (Connie) Lee of Darlington, IN. Other survivors include 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a sister Nancy Bailey of Rensselaer.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Helen, Ruth and Joan. Don had worked for Culligan Soft Water and as a truck driver for J. A. Grant and Son, I. S. McDaniel, and Briggs Trucking, but his passion was farming.
Don was a member of the First Christian Church of Rensselaer and had attended the United Methodist Church in Mulberry and was a Free Mason.
