Muncie-Donald E. Humbert, 75, went to be with his Lord early Thursday morning, May 26, 2011, at the Willow Bend Health Care Center following an extended illness. He was born on July 28, 1935 in Muncie, the son of Delmar and Margarett (Redwine) Humbert.
On May 8, 1959, Donald married the love of his life, Phyllis Ann (Allred) Humbert, who survives him.
Mr. Humbert is a 1953 graduate of Muncie Central High School. He served U.S. Army as a Specialist 3rd grade during the Korean War. Later Mr. Humbert worked for the Ontario Forge Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Humbert, Muncie; two daughters, Denise Sellers (husband-Bill), South Bend and Melinda Hamilton (husband-John), Springville; one son, Donald L. Humbert, Lakewood, California; two grandchildren, Marissa and John Hamilton both of Springville; two brothers, John Humbert (wife-Nancy), Selma and Tom Humbert (wife-Judy), Muncie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Bonnie Patterson, Barbara Fruitt and Bessie Humbert; one brother, Jake Humbert.
