Donald Eugene Day, Jr., 69, of 855 Stateline Road, Ridgeway, VA, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his home. Born on December 3, 1942 in Sanford, Maine, he was a son of the late Irene Turgeon Day and Donald Eugene Day, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis Day and Danny Day. Mr. Day was a supervisor with Miller Brewery, Reidsville, NC, having retired with 26 years of service. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Ridgeway and a long-time member of the church choir. Surviving are his wife of the residence, Barbara Edwards Day; daughters, Denise Day of New Jersey, Debbie Day of Martinsville, Dawn Day Williamson of Warrenton, VA; Lisa Day Spero of Annandale, VA; Susan Day Doyle of Martinsville and Jessica Day of Martinsville; sons, Jason Kyle Day of Columbus, GA and Eric Day of Nashua, NH; sister, Diane Day of Martinsville; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
