To our Family and Friends,

We would like to share with you, that Don, our Dad, and our Papa, has gone to be with our Lord. He passed peacefully on Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Colorado with his three children, Dan, Lisa, and Gail, at his side.

Anyone that knew Don knew him to be ONE TOUGH GUY with a GREAT BIG HEART!  He lived independently until he passed.  Of course, we wouldn’t expect anything different from him!
The love of his life, Helen, passed at the end of 2013 after a 15 year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Don felt strongly that God had prepared him to take care of Helen. He remembered and spoke often of his training as a hospital corpsman in both the Navy and as a Marine and made sure he used what he learned to take the very best care of Helen. He missed her dearly these last 4 years and was looking forward to seeing her in Heaven!

Don gave his heart to the Lord early in his life and became a student of the Word.  He also had a generous and giving heart. God richly blessed Don and Helen and Don often reminded his children and grandchildren that you can’t out-give God.  Though he wasn’t eloquent with his words, he handed out plenty of tracks that shared the message of Christ. We remember his shirt pocket filled with tracks and he always carried a case of them in the trunk of his car.

He loved his children and grandchildren!  Don and Helen were involved with most of their grandchildren on a daily basis through their school years. They created lifelong memories!

Don lived 20 days short of his 90th Birthday. He was counting down the days, but he insisted that he didn’t want a birthday party. Our family has decided to remember and celebrate his life on his 90th birthday in California.

We would like to invite you to join us as we celebrate Don’s life!

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!
