Donald Christopher “Chris” Hopkins, 44 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. He was born June 30, 1971 in Bradenton, Florida, son of Charles Edward Hopkins and Bobbie Jean (Taylor) Coplin.
He married Lorrie Lynn White-Randant on May 25, 1991 and they later divorced.
He is survived by two children: Chris Hopkins of Centralia and Paige Hopkins and significant other JD Gray of Centralia; four grandchildren: KyLynn Hopkins, Waylon Hopkins, Jacelynn Hopkins, and Aiyanna Verly; a sister, Denise Hine and husband Jerry of Centralia; nieces and nephews: Michael Pflugmancher and wife Dani of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, Dustin Hine of Mt. Vernon, Chelsea Johnson and husband Cody of Hughey, Daniel Finley and Jerry Hine both of Centralia, and several more nieces and nephews; a great nephew, Kayden Hatcher of Centralia; father-in-law, David Hatcher of Central City, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Steve Jose of Centralia; two sisters-in-law: Ashlie Hatcher and Jamie Hatcher both of Centralia. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Charlie Hopkins, and mother-in-law, Loretta Hatcher.
Chris enjoyed riding his bike, playing pool and darts. He also enjoyed going on numerous poker runs. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.
