Donald Lee Baker, 78, of Moberly, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at his home. he was born June 16, 1939, in Madison, MO to John Harold and Bessie Elizabeth (Taylor) Baker.
Prior to retirement, he worked as a motor grader operator and a farmer.
Donald married Reatha B. Hendrix on October 20, 1957, in Moberly and she survives in the home. Also, surviving are his daughter Rebecca Baker Heddinghaus and husband Larry of rural Moberly, five grandchildren; April D. Baker Young and Jimmie Young, Clare Wotten, Max Wotten, Elizabeth Headington, and Joseph M. Leta, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Billy.
Those that knew him know that he was one of the most humble, selfless, and stubborn old men you would ever meet. He was hardworking, strong, and courageous. Life won’t be the same without him and he will be greatly missed.
