Donald A. Downen, 74, of Otterbein, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Franciscan Health East.
He was born March 15, 1947, in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Lacey and Anita (Fitch) Downen.
Donald graduated from Montclair High School and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. IL.
He retired from the US Navy and was a nuclear medicine technician while he served.
On June 26, 1970, he married Margaret Hubal in Las Vegas, NV. And she survives.
Donald enjoyed Reading.
Surviving along with his wife, Margaret are two daughters, Charity (Adam) Douglas of Otterbein, and Mary (Chad) Littler of Lafayette, two sons, Paul Downen of Lafayette, and Matthew (Ashley) Downen of LaPorte. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Donald’s brothers and sisters include Jay, Joe, Barbara, Lillian, Helen, Ruth and Irene.
