Dominic Anthony St. John, 80, of Killingworth, CT, passed away on August 30, 2014, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Stephen and Anna and sister, Irene St. John Milano. He is survived by his wife, Gay Dilworth St. John; his daughter, Anna Maria St. John; his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Amy St. John, grandson, Collin St. John; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Nancy St. John, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dominic was born in New Haven son of the late Stephenand Anna Gaudino SanGiovanni on June 13, 1934. He joined the Air Force in 1954 where he served in the Vietnam War, had tours of duty in Okinawa and other parts of Southeast Asia, and retired in 1974. He married Gay Jean Dilworth on January 29, 1962, and after living in California for many years, he and his family moved to Connecticut to be closer to family in 1974. He worked at Sikorsky Helicopter and Pratt and Whitney as a jet engine mechanic for many years. He loved to cook, listen to jazz, drink good wine and beer, and spend time with his extended family. He will be greatly missed.
