Dolores V. Gass

Dolores Virginia Gass passed away on February 15, 2012 in a local hospital. She was born April 3, 1923 in South Dakota, the daughter of Arthur William Johnson and Lulu Maud Leavens. She attended school in South Dakota until she was approximately 16 years of age when the family moved to Idaho.
She graduated from Meridian High School, Meridian, Idaho in 1941 and attended Boise Junior College the following fall, majoring in music. She started working for the State of Idaho at St. Maries, Idaho, in 1942, returning to the Boise area a few months later. She continued to work for the State of Idaho in various positions throughout the years until her retirement.
Dolores married Lowell H.
Dolores was a gifted musician during her life, with more than 11 years of training on the piano. When she turned 80, she started taking guitar lessons and continued them for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her baby sister, Emma Christina. She is survived by her husband, Lowell Gass, son Robert Gass (Sandi Floyd), daughter Virginia Hale, granddaughter Nicole Marria (John), step granddaughter Amy Hale (Brian Martin), two great-grandsons, several cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
