Mrs. Glisson was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Glisson & son, Auburn Glisson and parents, Horace (Chic) and Lillian Spires.
Dolores is survived by her brother Buddy Spires & wife Ann of Coatesville, IN; children Audrey Glisson, Glenn and Mika Glisson, Gary and Maria Glisson, Daina Glisson and daughter-in-law, Theresa Glisson; Grandchildren Melissa White, Brent Glisson, Garrett Farris, Kelsey Farris, Kevin Glisson, Matthew Glisson and Miko Glisson; great grandchildren, Trey Walker, JT Glisson and Jaxson White.
Dolores was born April 15, 1933 in quaint Lincolnton, GA to Horace (Chic) & Lillian Spires.
Married September 2, 1950, at the age of 17 to her husband of 59 years, Arthur Glisson age 21 of Augusta GA in Aiken, S.C.
Starting their lives together, Arthur began active duty with US Marines on Sept 11, 1950. Together they raised 5 children Auburn, Audrey, Glenn, Daina and Gary. Dolores’s gift of love made people feel special and loved. She shared the love of Jesus wherever she could through her church involvement, neighbors & friends. She loved being involved in her children’s schools, Boy & Girls Scouts, and Youth Sports. She was a Pink lady at Piedmont Hospital, devoted childcare giver to many children still loved today, avid reader, bird watcher, animal lover, gardener, sewing, ceramics, and enjoyed traveling.
