Dolores Clark (Granny) 78 went home to breathe in, and dance with her Savior Jesus on Tuesday January 24, 2017 after a long battle with COPD.

She was born in 1938 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to James John and Victoria Dolores Stasse.

When she was a senior in high school she had the opportunity to dance the Tango with Fred Astaire at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Elizabeth NJ.

She also taught Ballroom dancing at that studio. She loved to dance and

had the privilege to audition at Radio City Music Hall to be a Rockett.

At 19 she met her husband to be, Jerry, at a carnival. They were soon married and with child. They had 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls, and were married for 21 years.

Dolores enjoyed telling stories. She put pen to paper for two of her original stories, “Sarah’s Dolls” and “Thomas and the Apple Pie” which she read often to her grandchildren.

After moving to Las Vegas in 1990 she was soon working at the Luxor in the Pearl Factory where she had the privilege of making a pearl ring for Will and Jada Smith. Dolores loved working with and meeting new people; she truly was a people person.

In 2004 she moved to Whitefish Montana with her daughter and family and got a job in the kitchen at Colonial Manor. She loved working with the residents and her coworkers.

In 2013 she was cast in the play “Oliver” at the Whitefish O’Shaughnessy Center, a true highlight of her life. She loved working and acting with the entire Oliver cast and the dancing; oh how she loved the dancing! That same year at age 75 she got her first and only tattoo of a dove with a rose in its mouth dripping one drop of blood to represent the Holy Spirit and Jesus shed blood for us.

Dolores loved God and she loved people. She loved well and fought hard.

She was a wonderful mother and an excellent grandmother and great grandmother. Those who knew her loved her. She was a fun loving, hip hopping, rapping Granny and she will be greatly missed here on Earth, but will remain always in our hearts until we meet again.

She is preceded in death by her 3 sons Jerry, David and Michael and ex husband Jerry along with her sister Joann, mother Victoria and father James, one grandchild and two great grandchildren who she is holding in Heaven.

She is survived by her daughters Christine Clark of Kalispell MT and Laura Coburn Clark of Indiana. Also grandchildren Melissa & Josh Rehanek , Amanda & Aaron Browning, Shannon (Nikki) Gillen all of Kalispell MT, Steven Coburn of Las Vegas NV and 4 great grandchildren Sawyer & Dawson Rehanek and Abigail & Adam Browning.
