Dixie Mae Fatter, 83, of Michigan City, Indiana and formerly of Three Oaks, Michigan, died Wednesday morning, April 4, 2007. Dixie was born May 25, 1923 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Anthony and Blanche (Hogue) Dostie. On February 2, 1946, she married William Fatter Sr., in Three Oaks, Michigan. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1996.
Dixie loved her home, caring for her family, and her dog Boomer. Survivors include her children, William (Robin) Fatter, Jr., of Winona Lake, Indiana; Rich (Becky) Fatter of Three Oaks and Diane Yettaw of Huntertown, Indiana; grandchildren, Dawn (Melvin) James, Shawn (April) Fatter, Scott (Kim) Yettaw, Stephanie (Eric) Spriggs and Darrin Fatter; 2 step grandchildren, Dana Ziebarth and Angie Ziebarth; 10 great grandchildren, and sisters, Katheryn Schultz, Michigan City and Anne Logmann of LaPorte, Indiana. In addition to her husband, Dixie was preceded in death by a great grandson, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
