Muncie-Dixie Helen Peters, 78, passed away early Friday morning, December 20, 2013, at the Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was born on October 23, 1934, in Beattysville, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Charles) Barrett.
Helen married the love of her life, James C. Peters in 1951, and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1995. Mrs. Peters had been a homemaker.
Survivor’s include two sons, James Peters, Springville, Tennessee and Kenny Joe Peters, Hartford City; two granddaughters, Kara Peters, and Ashley Lawrence (husband-Travis), both of Hartford City; one great grandson, Cash Lawrence, Hartford City; three sisters, Mildred Duncan, Mable Hammond and Rosemary Fisher all of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband of 44 years, James, she is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Jeanie Daniels and Billie Martin; four brothers, Albert, Raymond, J.D. and Cecil Barrett.
