The Lord took Dionisio M. Espinosa “Nicho”, 96, into his loving arms on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. He died peacefully in his sleep.
Nicho was born on February 2, 1921, to Ramon Espinosa and Teresa Merino Espinosa in Deming. He was a resident of Grant County for most of his adult life. Nicho was a retiree of the Santa Fe Railroad and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He will always be in our hearts and greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dionisio is survived by his sons, Dionisio Espinosa Jr., (Norma), Raul Espinosa (Melisha), and Ramiro Espinosa; daughters, Delia Correa (Rudy), Lilia Adame (Rudy), Rosalinda Silva (Gilbert), Gloria Espinosa, Elvia Lambe, Elma Fernandez (Rudy) and Margarita Espinosa; one brother, Ramon Espinosa (Margarita); 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon Espinosa and Teresa Merino Espinosa; mother of his children, Consuelo Espinosa; three brothers, Raul, Salvador, and Herman Espinosa; a son Gilberto Espinosa.
