Diane was born August 15th, 1943 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Gilbert and Ferne (DeVoll) Ferguson. In addition, her tight knit family included her loving sister Marcia Roach (Ferguson). Diane’s early childhood was spent Ohio. Her family moved to Bethel Park, Pennsylvania where she graduated in 1962 from Bethel Park High School.

She met her husband Vaughn William Fisher while attending Clarion State College. She graduated in 1966 with a degree in Elementary Education. She and Vaughn were married and had two children (Traci and Vaughn) who were the light of her life.

Diane was a stay at home mother until she entered the workforce when her children were older. Diane had a wide range of jobs throughout the years such as substitute teacher, day care teacher and office manager for several different companies. She even sold grave markers for a period of time. Her last and favorite position was with a vibrant and growing company (Arthrex) that manufactured and sold artificial joints throughout the world. She became an International Logistics Planner where she was able to work with people both in the United States and Internationally. She reluctantly retired at the age of 70 and moved to Boise, Idaho to spend her retirement years with her family.

Diane is survived by her sister Marcia (Ferguson) Roach; two children Traci Fisher and Vaughn Fisher (Mindy) of Boise, ID; grandchildren Zachary Cain of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, Autumn Cain, Oliver Wroten and Katie Fisher of Boise and her niece Melany Ward (Chris) of Ohio. Preceding Diane in death were her parents Gilbert and Ferne (De Voll) Ferguson, her husband Vaughn Fisher and her nephew Martin Roach.

Diane was a loving, kind and fiercely loyal person. Her sense of humor was loved by friends, family and strangers alike. Diane was selfless and would literally and figuratively “give the shirt off her back “ to anyone who needed it. As an example Diane recently stated that she wished she was well enough to volunteer at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter! She had a very diverse set of friends. Diane always treated those close to her as her own children or grandchildren thereby becoming a confidante and surrogate mother and grandmother to many people.

Diane was a woman of faith who firmly believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour.
