Diane Bernice Wilson, born 1 July 1945, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2013 after succumbing to lung cancer. She was born at Burns Lake, BC to Earl H. Hanke and Ardis Christie. Her father homesteaded logging country and operated a logging and sawmill. Diane”s first nine years of childhood was spent in the logging camp. She attended grade school at St. Francois Lake. She went to Elizabeth High School, Kitimat, BC. Working at Bell Telephone following High School, she then moved to Vancouver, BC and worked for West Coast Gas Company until marrying her husband, Fred D. Wilson. Working at her husband”s company, Wil-Cor, Inc. in Pasadena, TX, she was VP in Communications and Personnel. Moving to Boerne in 2003, she became a member of the St. Mark Presbyterian Church. Diane is survived by husband, Fred D. Wilson; step-daughter, Cynthia Ann Wilson, Sugarland, TX; daughter, Caprice Madryga and grandson, Zachary of Kimberly, BC; brother, Steven; sister, Wynona Cayenne of Vernon, BC; brother, Ralph Hanke and wife, Connie of Vancouver, BC; cousins and other relatives in Burns Lake, BC.
