Diana “Diane” Lynn (Sangrey) Cummins of Great Falls passed away on May 9, 2015 surrounded by family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 56. It is in great sadness that we said goodbye to our beautiful mom, wife, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She was greeted by her mother Norma and other loved ones, Norma received the best Mother’s Day gift ever.

Diane was born May 14, 1958, in Great Falls, Montana to Carl “Bear” Sangrey and Norma Jarvey. She was educated and raised in Great Falls. She was an enrolled member of the Little Shell tribe. Diane was affectionately called “China Doll” and “The Campbell’s Soup Kid” by her grandmother, Mary Louise (Meyers) Jarvey. Diane was blessed with two daughters Dana and Danelle, then she met and married Robert Cummins and they were blessed with three sons Daniel, Phillip, and Corey.

Diane had the most contagious laugh, which will be missed. She was happy and loved laughing and making others laugh. Diane loved Christmas more than anyone. Every year she would get up early in great excitement to watch all of her children, nieces, and nephews open their gifts. Diane was very big hearted and would give the shirt off her back to anyone.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Cummins of Great Falls, daughters Dana (Colin) Gallagher of Missoula and Danelle “Dee Dee” (James) Varlow of New Jersey; and her sons Daniel “Dan”, Phillip (Alicyn), and Corey (Lillian) Sangrey, all of Great Falls. She is survived by her siblings, Carl Sangrey, Sandra (Larry) McWilliams, Jerry (Lynn) Sangrey, Carol Franco, Susie Sangrey, Jean (Marty) Harvie, Aaron (Christa) Liscum, all of Great Falls; and Scott (Kristi) Sangrey of Missoula, and Paula Wolfe of Ohio. She also is survived by 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents Norma and Carl, her stepfather Daniel “Sonny” Frank Elliott; her brother, Phillip “Benny” Sangrey; her grandparents, Mary Louise Jarvey, Corbett Jarvey, and Fred Carrier; and her grandson, Daniel Corbett Sangrey Jr.

Special thanks to family and friends for their love and support; to Dr. Guter; and the Benefis Hospice team for their kindness and wonderful care.
