Dexter Young, age 77, of Geneva and Saint Charles, formerly of Hazard County Kentucky, passed away Saturday January 26, 2013 at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva.
He was born June 2, 1935 in Wels, Tennessee, the son of Euell and Georgeanna (Hatten) Young.
Dexter served his country in the Army and Air Force during the Korean Conflict receiving the Purple Heart Award, Bronze Star and numerous other awards. He worked for many years as a machinist and retired from Pamarco Global Graphics in Batavia. Dexter enjoyed working with his hands and was the ultimate “fixer”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dovonna Lynn (Seeley); son, Dexter Michael “Mike” (Shari) of Geneva; grandchildren April (fiancé Nick Picchi) Young and Dexter Bradley Young both of Geneva; brother Victor of Kentucky; and many other dear relatives. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
