Dewey Roland Long Jr., 69, of 122 Salmon St. Martinsville VA. died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Born on April 20, 1941 in Eden NC, he was the son of the late Ruth Gibson Long and Dewey Roland Long. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Betsy Morton and a brother, David Long. He was of the Apostolic faith and was a self-employed brick mason. Long was also a veteran of the US Marines. Surviving are his wife, Sara Moore Long of the home; daughters, Angela Long Inman and husband David of Fredericksburg VA, and Hannah Long Powell and husband Christopher of Chase City, VA; two sisters; Ann Atwater of Winston-Salem NC and Alice Hobbs of Fayetteville NC. three brothers; Arthur Long of Pelham NC.; Robert and Jimmy Long both of Eden NC.; two Grandchildren; Anna Grace Inman of Fredericksburg VA and Piper Layne Powell of Chase City VA.
