Dewey James, 70, of Middletown, beloved husband of Christine (Inez Ham) James for forty-eight years, passed away on Saturday, November 22nd at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Darlington, SC, he was the son of the late Ervin, Sr. and Beulah (Samuel) James. Dewey lived in Middletown since 1965 and worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Manufacturing for thirty-seven years and for Middletown Builders Supply for thirty years. In addition to his wife, Dewey is survived by two sons, Dennis James of Southington and Eric James of Bristol; two daughters, Denise Walker of Meriden and Chevonda Moses of Darlington, SC; brother, Ervin James, Jr. (Bertha) of Whitesville, NC; three sisters, Doris Hammonds (Charles) of Darlington, SC, Hattie Mae Murray of Darlington, SC and Trannie Dubose of Albany, NY; nine grandchildren; great grandson, Cordae Weston; special niece, Lottie James Grant of Middletown and as host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
