Devon Elrod, 17 of Meridianville was a senior at Hazel Green School with a vibrant smile and eyes as blue as the sky. His carefree and comedic personality could light up any room. His passions included trucks, fishing, family, and spending time with his girlfriend, Kylie. He was an amazing big brother to Elijah. From a young age, his willingness to demonstrate selfless acts of kindness for others left a mark on anyone’s heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Devon will forever live in our hearts as the fearless, caring, and compassionate young man that he was. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ethan Hunter Elrod; grandfather, Willard Mann Jr.; and great grandmother, Doris Mann. Devon is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Elrod (Thomas McGee); brother, Elijah Cordae Booker; father, John Willis Elrod; great grandmother, Elizabeth Lemley; grandmothers, Robin Miller (Papa Rog) and Nancy Elrod; grandfather, John Willis Holcomb and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him.
