Devin Octavius Toney was born on October 5, 1991 in Oceanside, California to David A. Toney of Sumter, South Carolina, and Danielle Davis of Detroit, Michigan.
After moving to North Carolina, Devin initially attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Schools until moving to the Union County area where he attended both Sun Valley Middle and High Schools. While attending Sun Valley High School, he was in ROTC and played various sports, but especially loved football and basketball. Devin received his GED in 2012, and had planned on attending South Piedmont Community College to major in Graphic Arts this fall.
Devin was full of love and always had a smile and a hug for anyone he encountered.
