Denver C. Morrow, 86, of Elkhart and formerly of Ossian, Ind., passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family. He was born September 16, 1931 in Fraziers Bottom, W. Va. to the late Melvin and Edna (Smith) Morrow.

He married Irma Noble on September 3, 1949 in Greenup, Kentucky, Irma died January 5, 1999. Surviving are a son, Dennis Morrow, daughter Pam (Mike) Halley; 5 grandchildren, Randy (Jessica) Morrow Jr., Danny (Erica) Morrow, Amy (Neal) Ridenour, Mandy and Melody McNeely, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and a sister Jeanne Draper. In addition to his parents and wife, son Randy Morrow, grandson Michael Halley, great grandson Keith McNeely, 2 sisters Reba Spano, Donna Burns and 2 brothers, Larry and Raymond Morrow. Denver worked in the asphalt and paving industry for 40 years, retiring in 1995.

He managed Black Top Asphalt Co. of Urbana, Ohio for 20 years and Johnson’s in Ft. Wayne, Ind. for 15 years. He played fiddle and guitar in several country music bands for many years. Denver loved to spend time with his friends from work and his own family, especially his grand and great grandchildren, which were very important to him.
