Dennis Allen Zeiger, 58, of Three Oaks, Michigan left his earthly home and loving family to join his heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 31, 2007.

Denny was born January 24, 1949, in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Wesley and Elizabeth (Hicks) Zeiger Jr.

He graduated in 1967 from River Valley High School, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Denny married Cathlyn Kay Wallsten, his high school sweetheart, on March 4, 1968 in Cairo, Georgia. He served on the River Valley School board and held the office of President for many years. Denny was employed by H F S Tractor and was a founding member of the Real Life Community Church.

He was raised on the Zeiger Family Centennial Farm, which was established in 1888, and as an adult he continued to farm the land he loved so dearly. One of Denny’s favorite scripture verses was Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

Survivors include his wife, Cathy; children, Pastor Richard Wesley (Shelley) Zeiger Sr of Three Oaks; Heidi Lee (Bradley J.) Clark of Three Oaks and Jeffery Allen (Jessica) Zeiger of Niles; grandchildren, Richard Jr., Kassie, Jessica, Ethan, BJ, Jacob, Gabriel, Joshua Dennis, Mazie Grace and Emma; siblings, Gerald (Melanie) Zeiger of Paw Paw; and Thomas (Donna) Zeiger; Patricia Zeiger; Susan Zeiger and Robert (Brenda) Zeiger all of Three Oaks; mother-in-law, Kathryn Wallsten of Bridgman; sister-in-law, Merlyn (Jim) Wisner of Three Oaks; and brothers-in-law, Dick (Yvonne) Wallsten of Stevensville and Donnie (Pat) Wallsten of Buchanan. His grandson, Jeffery Allen Zeiger, Jr, will welcome him in heaven.
