Dennis N. Rodd, 78, of 24 Leeward Drive, Westerly, RI, died peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2006, at the Watch Hill Care and Rehab. He was the beloved husband of Janice (Clements) Rodd.
Mr. Rodd was born in New York, on August 28, 1928. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Anastasia ( Zinovieff ) Rodd.
Dennis graduated from Rutgers College in New Jersey and served in the United State Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Rodd was a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor. He worked for Touche, Niven, Bailey and Ross as an auditor. He then worked for Chicopee Manufacturing Company and retired from the George C. Moore Company in Westerly.
An avid reader he belonged to the Westerly Public Library Book Club. He also enjoyed working in his yard, traveling and playing bridge with friends on Thursday evening at the Westerly Senior Center.
Besides his wife of 54 years he leaves his 3 children; Richard Rodd of Westerly, Karen Yocom of San Diego, CA, and Lawrence Rodd of Seattle Washington, and 3 grandchildren; Amanda, Garrett and Elizabeth Yocom.
