Winsted: Dennis F. Dupont, 67 of 80 Chestnut Street, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, following a lengthy illness. Born in Winsted, March 5, 1942, he was a son of the late Howard and Betty (Smart) Dupont and had lived here all of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for Winsted Precision Ball for 25 years. He had attended local schools, was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 296. He is survived by his brother Howard Dupont of Winsted.
