Dennis Dale Hanaway Sr age 81, of Wheatfield, Indiana passed away at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point, Indiana on Saturday February 18, 2012. He was born on April 15, 1930 in DeMotte, Indiana the son of Alfred Leo and Johanna Christine (Douma) Hanaway. On February 17, 1951 in Corinth Mississippi he married Maudie Mae Bailey and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2011.
Dale proudly served in the US Army as a Military Police, he worked for Ford Motor Co for 31 years. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church in DeMotte and of the UAW.
Dale is survived by his children, Linda Risner of Oxford, IN; Rita Sanders of Lafayette, IN; Janet (Bill) Coleman of Somerset, OH; Lisa Paiz of Folwer, IN; Dennis Hanaway JR of Valparaiso, IN and Jeffrey Hanaway of Delphi, IN. Brothers and sisters, Maxine Palmer of AZ; Duane Hanaway of Hebron, IN; Iona Twa of CA; Carol Zachary of NC; Dean (Judy) Hanaway of LaGrange, IL; Lendall (Carol) Hanaway of Hebron; Norman Hanaway of Kouts, IN and Bruce (Cheryl) Hanaway of Nevada; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
