Dennis C. Duffield, 70, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Kearny, NJ and New Brunswick, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1979. Dennis was a Wine and Liquor Salesman for Fedway Associates in Basking Ridge, NJ, retiring in 2018.
A 1967 graduate of Kearny High School, Dennis went on to Rutgers College, class of 1972, where he was a member of Delta Chapter of Chi Phi Fraternity. He was an avid supporter of Rutgers Football, holding season tickets for many years.
Dennis was a member of the Toms River Elks, a communicant of St. Justin’s Roman Catholic Church, active in Pop Warner while his children were young, and a fan of Toms River East Football, Cheerleaders, and Boys and Girls Lacrosse.
Dennis loved his garden, his home, and cherished his family and many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Deborah (Skerchak) Duffield, his children and their spouses Sean Duffield and Courtney Norcross of Toms River, NJ, Sean and Erin (Duffield) Ragusa of Seaside Heights, NJ, Ian and Rosario Duffield of Toms River, NJ, and Conor Duffield and Ashley Peters of Philadelphia, PA, as well as his grandchildren Cooper, Campbell, and Charlotte. He also leaves behind his dear friends of 50+ years, Paul and Joreane Cooper and Daniel and Cheryl Davis, collectively known as “The Three Amigos”.
