Dennis Alan Jeffrey Olberg, age 33, passed away September 2, 2021. He was born on January 22, 1988 in Chicago.
Dennis and his twin sister Carol joined the Olberg family in 1989 and were adopted a few years later. Dennis was a sweet little boy who was very smiley, his nickname was Denny Monkey. He enjoyed skateboarding, cooking, drawing, and wanted to pursue a career in graphic design when he was older. He loved his family and always missed them during the holidays. He also was a hard worker and willing to help. Sadly, later in life he struggled with addiction, which ultimately took his life.
He is survived by his father Melvin (Diane) Olberg of Bloomfield Hills, MI; siblings Kristy Olberg of So. Elgin, Jason (Christine) Olberg of Mt. Prospect, Kelley (Michael) Gibbons of So. Elgin, Kathleen Olberg of Aiken, So. Carolina, Carol (Ryan) Bouse of Drury, Missouri, Collin Olberg of Seattle, Washington, and Carter Olberg of Elgin; and many dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his biological siblings John Hille, David Hille, Richard Rusin, Amy Proz-Ozinga, and Julia (Christopher) Drong.
He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Olberg; his maternal grandparents Otto and Eunice Brinchman; his fraternal grandparents Thor and Ruth Olberg; cousin Alan Olberg; Aunt Phyllis Brinchman; and uncles Ron Schon & Peter Olberg. He was also preceded in death by his biological mother Carol Tuftee.
