Denise L. Cousins, 49, of W. Elwood Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2005, in her home.
Denise was born on November 28, 1955, in South Bend, to Florence (Rajski) and the late Emery Retek. She was a lifelong area resident. Denise graduated from LaSalle High School in 1974. On February 11, 1978, as Denise L. Retek, she married Paul Cousins, who survives.
Along with her husband of 27 years, she is survived her mother, Florence Retek of South Bend; daughter, Paula A.(David) Hough of North Liberty, Indiana; her son, Christopher M. Swihart of South Bend; three grandchildren, Justin, Dylan Hough and Damian Swihart.
Denise was L.P.N. for Carlisle Nursing Home for 30 years. Her hobby was her job, her patients loved her and called her their “little white angel.
