Denis Bittenbender, 62, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Truman and Naomi (Moser) Bittenbender. Denis graduated from Freedom High School in 1970, and then from the University of Virginia. He worked as a project engineer for Hercules Cement Co. He enjoyed his engineering profession, and used his ingenuity to fix many things at work and around his home. He loved playing softball and being outdoors, and served as a Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 317. Denis was a member of St. Johns UCC in Howertown. Survivors: children Jason and Teresa Bittenbender, both of Bethlehem; companion Angie Texter and her daughter Shawna of Bethlehem Township; siblings Bruce Bittenbender and his wife Susan of St. Joseph, MI, Gail Fairchild of Aston, PA, Craig Bittenbender and his wife Cassandra of Hummelstown, Jon Bittenbender and his wife Patricia of Palmer Township.
