Delores Anna Cox, 73 of Gregory’s Run Clarksburg passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at her residence with family by her side. She was born March 18, 1944, daughter of the late Edward Lawrence and Lura Frye Jenkins. Delores was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Bub and Chrissy Jenkins, Clarksburg, Bernard Wilson Cox, Clarksburg; one daughter, Lori Dunn and Billy, Spelter; six grandchildren, Drew Anthony Cox, Chelsea Marie Shears, Cortney Nicole Kearns, Destiny Dawn Jenkins, Christina Danielle Coffman, Brandie Jo Elsey and Kenneth; seven great grandchildren, Mason Cole Kearns, Piper Skye Kearns, Caleb Shockey, Mikah Jo Davis, Trey Elsey, Jacob Lee Jenkins, Taylor Rae Elsey; Delores was a caregiver to her cousin, Sheila Carle; siblings, Richard Lee “Bucky” and Linda Jenkins of Clarksburg, WV, Shirley and James Goodwin of West Milford, WV, Bobby and Sandra Jenkins of Sardis, WV, LeRoy Jenkins, WV, Donnie and Elaine Jenkins all of Wilsonburg, Gary Jenkins and companion, Judy of Reynoldsville, WV, Barbara and Chuck Powers of Wilsonburg, Sandra Jenkins of Wilsonburg, Wilma Gress of NV; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by son, James Arthur Shears, Jr; grandson, Bernard”Tyke” Jenkins; brothers, David and Richard Jenkins.
Delores loved hummingbirds. She liked to go to Atlantic City to gamble and play the slot machines.
